In my mind it is only one way to earn money and that’s by being interested and having passion about what I do.

This is not a corporate blog. It’s our team members talking about what matters.
iPhone Medic
A couple of us enjoyed a proper Mac love fest yesterday. We went “ooooh” , “aaah” and “ooh shiny” for about 2 hours as one after another the latest hard and software goodies from Apple were rolled out live (and live blogged) at the Worldwide Developer Conference here in San Francisco.
One thing that brought me back to reality in the best possible way was one of the iPhone applications mentioned. Critical Care from Airstrip Technologies sends real-time medical data to the iPhone.
Delightful devices (and useful)
Technology is a wonderful thing, and even more so when it is providing a very useful service which can impact someone’s life in a positive way.
Combining technology, health and personal devices is a trend which seems to be taking off, along with the explosion for the love of smartphone applications (namely the iPhone).
(If you are interested in mobile culture, take a look at my recent post here).
So, what is out there right now?

Do it honestly or not at all
Being honest with what you do is more important than ever. Up until recently you could get away with an occasional lie covered under a thick blanket of marketingsauce.
Luckily that time is now over. With the Web as it looks like today any attempt at dishonesty will be uncovered and damage you in a way that was unthinkable before.
Happy Birthday to one of the team
A very happy birthday to one of the biggest orb stars, although she looks rather small here ;-)
Have a great day!

Direct to consumer works
Direct to consumer marketing in the Pharma world is allowed in some countries, but not in others. What does this mean? Different marketing campaigns, different messages, different target audiences. It can also be very restrictive, and, from a legal perspective, very time consuming for companies to make sure no rules are broken.
We all know that the web is now the number one reseource for information, connection, research and opinion, so we know that people are spending time online, involving themselves in community and gathering what they need to make informed decisions.
So, if a company sets up a community, a destination, which provides useful and relevant information they are probably going to get a few visitors right?
How does 5.5 Million strike you? In one month. Just look at these stats….

Don’t keep your head down
howies are one of my favourite brands. They do everything in a “good” way. They wear their hearts on their sleeves, enjoy what they do, and are hugely focused on their product and customers.

A recent post on their blog rang true for me, and we can learn a lot from it.
The rise of mobile culture - all about connection
As 3G enabled devices become more popular, and as 4G starts to become a reality, it is clear that we are becoming even more mobile in the way we consume information. The rise of the iPhone, Blackberry culture, and new devices like the Palm Pre, are meaning that the latest “mobile phones” are in fact mobile computers. The connection from your mobile to the rest of the world is starting to get stronger.
